Test taker is allowed to use a reference book supplied by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) in the electronic format. The current version is 10.3. Since this book is common for all disciplines, there is a lot of information which is not relavant to your test taking experience. Finding the right information in the shortest possible time is the key to complete the examination in the specified time.

If you are still using the paper version of the handbook, it will be an ackward experience to scroll through the pages to locate a required equation. We recommend that you should start using the electronic version as soon as possible and get comformatble with basic tasks such as:

• Jumping directly from one subject to another using the bookmarks functionality of a pdf document.
• Finding correct page number related to a topic by looking through the index located at the end of the handbook.
• Using Control + F (Find functionality to locate occurances of a certain keyword throughout the pdf document.
